Hello, I am Yahaira!

I’m a dedicated counselor with a transformative journey that began in Massachusetts where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology which led me to earn my master’s degree in counseling at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. This experience equipped me professionally and sparked my own healing journey through profound self-discovery and personal growth in therapy.

I understand the immense benefits of therapy firsthand and I am committed to guiding you on your paths to healing and Self-leadership. My work has largely focused on helping individuals and families dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I have worked with all ages in the life span but have found my space among adults 18 and up who have struggled with these issues. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) as my approach because IFS, fosters deep internal connections essential for healing and has been proven effective in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, among others. Through my training, I have been able to experience what it means to be Self-led and want to be able to guide you on a safe and true journey to Self-leadership and Self-care.

My Counseling Philosophy
My counseling philosophy is informed by the Internal Family Systems Model (IFS), which sees the mind as made up of different parts, each with its own role. I believe everyone has a compassionate Self, and by connecting with this Self, we can better understand and integrate these parts.
In our sessions, I provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings and experiences. Together, we'll identify inner conflicts and work toward healing from past wounds. This approach empowers you to embrace your whole Self, fostering self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
